The Sentence Generator Online Program shows students how to create hundreds of phrases with only 30 words. These core words include subject pronouns, modals, infinitives, and adverbs of time and place. By using ir a and acabar de students may construct sentences about past, present, and future activities without having to memorize conjugations for past and future tenses. Students must, however, know without hesitation the 30 core words in order to begin speaking immediately.
The Spanish Sentence Generator program was conceived and first used by Dr.
Elliot Glass in 1972 with his elementary Spanish students at Queensborough
Community College (CUNY). In 1976 the program received its first print copyright
for its hand out sheets distributed in class. In 1985 the Sentence Generator
began to appear in textbooks written by Dr. Elliot Glass and in videotapes
produced by Crossroads Video. In 1995 the Spanish Sentence Generator CD-ROM
program was produced and that same year was registered by the U.S. Copyright
Office. Again in 2007 an updated CD-ROM program was created by Dr. Elliot
Glass for use on the internet. The on-line program applied for a 2008 copyright.
Since all of the aforementioned Sentence Generators have copyrights, it is llegal to copy or capture electronically, digitally, in print (video and audio) any part of the Spanish Sentence Generator for any reason without the written permission of Dr. Elliot Glass, the copyright holder.
